Artist Biography

Diane Frossard, originally from Dallas, Texas, has always had a passion for art and horses. Her father, an avid horseman, introduced her to horses at an early age and her childhood was spent competing in equestrian events and training horses as well as painting and drawing. She initially worked as a geologist before turning to art full-time.  She and her husband currently reside on a ranch in Tyler, Texas with their five horses. Her daughters and horses are recurring models for her paintings and many of her plein air landscapes are scenes from the ranch. She is a signature member of Oil Painters of America and American Impressionist Society.

Artist Statement

My interest is to capture the poetry of a unique moment in time. Horses have always had a calming effect on me and that feeling is what I try to portray in my equine paintings. In a world that can often be stressful, I hope my paintings evoke a sense of tranquility and beauty.
